Description:
Series of waterfalls that flow over and around huge rock formations. Lowermost falls multi-tiered and surround by medium-sized boulders, while the middle drops slide between long, angled slabs of rock on left and huge boulders to the right. The top two falls slide down the slabs and are separated by a deep pool.

Nearby Falls:
West Branch Yellow Dog Falls (0.7 miles), Wylie Dam Falls (4.6 miles), Mulligan Falls (6.3 miles), Pinnacle Falls (6.9 miles)
Area:
Thick, untouched woods in a northern hilly section of the McCormick Tract. Tall trees and rocky hills surround the trail.
Trail:
75 minutes one-way
Follow the trail to the left of the large Ottawa National Forest sign to the river. West Branch Yellow Dog Falls should be upstream here. Cross below the falls on one of the fallen logs and continue on the trails, which slowly climbs the side of the hill while continuing east. When you hit the river, you should see an ancient cedar bridge. Head upstream on either side of the river to see all of the falls. A swamp is located just upstream of the uppermost falls. Trail isn't marked but is well-traveled to the last river, where it starts to die out and meander.
Drive:
2 hours 9 mins from Houghton, MI (change)
